Trash Ideas. Trash Stories. Trash People. Projekt Antihero really began way back in 2003, when I was given the option to pass an English course by recreating Shakespeare's Richard III using my own words. I pulled in classmates who were all anarchists like myself, we rewrote it, rehearsed it and even made a recording of it. You know, for archival purposes - which I then lost somewhere. But. Little did I know I'd stumbled onto something I'd want to do the rest of my life. Since 2016, I’ve more or less hid behind Projekt Antihero, using it to make the type of theatre I've always wanted to see made - gritty, queer & filthy fucking fabulous. In these 9 years now I've collaborated with dozens of other artists to create new work and tell stories that don’t get traditionally seen in theatres. Theatre Of Trash is poor theatre, makeshift, and renegade with a heart of gold. Hopefully it’s also a wild imaginative ride that resonates with those who experience it.
